About Me —
Hey there, I'm Kayla! I recently graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors in Informatics and I am currently doing user experience design at Deloitte Digital.
My road to design has been a bumpy but rewarding ride. From a young age, I have been passionate about helping others. This interest, combined with parental influence and a lack of knowledge about tech, led me down the path of medicine. Although I wasn't interested in the natural sciences, I knew I wanted a job that helped others and settled for a career as a doctor.
The direction of my life changed when I discovered UX design at university. I soon realized the importance of design in our everyday lives and its powerful impact on the human experience. I instantly fell in love with the design process, from user research to development.
As a designer, I am passionate about solving meaningful problems and creating delightful, humane experiences. I strive to create products that improve people's lives without harmful implications.
